The top question every one asks, how do I loss weight?

Well the simple anwser is control and monitoring. The basis principle behind it is easy, simply eat less calories than you use thats it!

So the 1st thing you need to understand is how many calories a day you require? The basic advise is women need 1600-2400 per day and men 2000-3000 per day. However this depends on your age, height, current weight and activity levels. I would recommend looking around online and trying various calculators out and then use the average of what you find.

From there its a case of monitoring what you eat to find your level. The thing to do is reduce your intake by 10% and monitor your progress, aim to loss 1lb every week. If you are lossing to quick increase your calories and likewise if you are not achieving the results reduce intake further.

There are further steps that can improve your progress, for example monitoring your macro's but we will cover that in another blog.

Likewise what we eat can make success a reality. For example you want to aim for dense filling food that is low in calories.

100g of chicken breast contains approx 102 calories or 100g of broccoli contains approx 35 calories.

Where as 100g of mars bars contains 480 calories or 100g of white bread contains approx 265 calories

So if you simple cut calories on a poor choice of food your always feel hungry and this is the main reason poeple fail.

This is why a change of lifestyle with good food choices is the best and only way to succeed. If we cut out the foods that get in our way and replace them with quality alternatives then result will follow. For me this was about finding a replacement for my go to snack so rather than having a chocolate bar I will have my paleo fudge or brownies
